Interview from the bathroom - with David Sedaris?

A number of years ago (maybe 5-10), I remember hearing on a podcast the story of someone trying to conduct an interview late at night from their office with someone in Europe. I think they were trying to interview David Sedaris. And they had been waiting a while, and had to go to the bathroom, so either interviewed from the bathroom, or relieved themselves in their cubicle.

It was really funny, but now I can’t find any evidence of it anywhere. I thought maybe it was on This American Life, but their archive doesn’t show me anything familiar. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Was it Mike Sacks? They first connected when Sacks interviewed Sedaris for a book and spent nearly five hours on the phone. Sacks says they talked so long that “I had to urinate into my trash basket. Twice.”

I don’t recall the name, but that definitely sounds promising!

However, I’d really like to find the episode where I heard the story. It was so funny…
