Intimidation: the MMP

It’s Rosie, not Tish. Getting a woman’s name wrong while kissing her does not end well.

It’s okay, Spidey. Bobbio and doggio may call me anything they want while they’re kissing my arms. **flytrap **is still a probie, but he’s getting there.

Supposed to be a gigantor storm coming through here tomorrow. I don’t mind as much since we FINALLY have a snowblower. Two years ago was the horrible terrible very bad no good winter, where it snowed approximately every three days (I don’t exaggerate much). Everytime I looked out and there was more snow for me to dig I wanted to cry.

Last year we bought a snowblower, no snow.

This year however it’s come in use and is just wonderful. They’re talking about a foot of snow, so I am SO FREAKIN glad I won’t have to shovel.

Up and irking.

It’s up to 32 degrees outside, I’m glad I don’t have to go anywhere today.

That’s a heat wave compared to here

Blurf.

I have sore feet, had a silly amount of walking 'n looking at stuff with the parents yesterday, so was very tired and badly overslept.

I can’t really complain though, I’m having a much better week than some; my sort-of-uncle (his wife was sort of not really adopted by my grandad when she was a teen; I grew up calling them aunty and uncle) has just started chemo for a brain tumour- and has had a really bad reaction to it. Then, just in case cancer and horrible side effects weren’t enough for the family to deal with, his step-father suddenly dropped dead of a heart attack while visiting his son, my sort-of-cousin, leaving his mother widowed for the second time…
I hope they can sort out the side effect stuff enough for him to get treatment… then I hope it works.
Anyway. I have to go shopping, I’m nearly out of tp.

Personally I’ve never been drunk enough to get a tat. Been there when a couple folks have gotten their “forever patch” in a sensitive location and helped a guy remove his forever patch from such a location – with a bench grinder and some acid. This body sucks but its good enough for me just this way.

Don’t totally shut out the idea. Her Ladyship basically thought the same thing. Then she came to a couple club meetings basically because we hold them at this really great Italian place. A year later she had her own badge. She rides back seat sometimes (she tried driving, had a crash, and decided passenger was cool enough for her) but mostly she runs sweep in the car sometimes. Good HOG chapters and AMA clubs are a lot like the Dope ---- people surprise you on how smart they are and how caring they can be even while not totally agreeing all the time.

Forget where you are but if at all possible take the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Federation) training class. I did even though I already had my license. I took a few years off (10) after my stroke and I remembered basically what to do but not why. The class really helped knock the dustwebs free. Everyone else was a beginner - one lady hadn’t been on so much as a bicycle - and all but one guy passed and ended up licensed at the end.

In PA the classes are free - in Florida I think they cost a fair bit. But they provide the bikes, gas, instructors, open lot to ride in and great education. You provide your own gloves, jacket, learners permit and boots. Your own helmet (rather than one of their loaners) is recommended as well. PA operates theirs through the County Community College system as well as other places/locations.

Not into the big events. Used to do Daytona back when folks still knew it was for the races and not just the drinking. Mountainfest near Morgantown though is still big enough to be huge but small enough to spot a friendly face or three.

Somewhere I still have an “autographed” picture of Kookie the Wonder Dog – paw printed. As far as I know he is the only non-human to actually hold an AMA racing license.

Moses and Aaron on a stick!

Umm, you DO know what positrons ARE, don’t you?

Yes, but one can do wonders with lead-lined drywall. And maybe an interior decorator that doesn’t appear to specialize in boiler rooms.

Good mawnin all

Coffee is starting to work on my brain, yeah

Have a show at a brewery today, Houston’s own St. Arnold

Bright and sunny today also warm, sorry if you are cold just remember I have 90 days straight of 100f/37c or hotter coming soon, hope I will be on tour in Canada for part of it.

Ruble thanks for the link. I have a puppeh coming soonish and have been thinking about trying to train him as Motopuppeh. Start off with an infant harness and see if I can get him to like it. We shall see.

Gotta run have many things to do

Have a great day

Jim

We went to Daytona several times for both Bike Week and Biketober Fest when we were living in Jax - frankly, once would have been enough for me. Honestly, I’m just not interested. I don’t know why I agreed to go to the show in Timonium this weekend - guess I’m just nice, dammit. :stuck_out_tongue:

And my baby sis has enough tats for the whole family, and then some. I think she’s up to 19 or 20. She’s a biker of sorts - she got a Vespa!

Lunch is over. Time to figure out a gasket problem. Envy me my glamourous job!!!

I almost got a tat once. The then BF offered to pay for it. I had one all picked out when some girl bopped in and said remember me, and the artist groaned, and she promised not to faint and I said does it hurt and the BF said Hell Yeah and I said never mind.

Although it didn’t hurt that bad when I got my eyelids done. It hurt worse when the numbing cream ran into my eyes.

Bagel and cream cheese for N.O.L. Kind of boring, but then today has been a boring day anyway. Work is slow and annoying.

I am currently in a feud with the cell phone company that starts their name with a V. Bastiges are hounding me for a payment for January’s bill, despite my posession of a receipt from my credit onion’s bill pay service that the matter was paid in full on January 18th. The money was extracted from my account, and did disappear into the bowels of Verizon somewhere, I have it it writing.

I think the next time they call, I’ll tell them to go pound sand cuz they have my dough already. In the meantime, I may work up a poison pen letter for your entertainment.

Well, I was going to take a walk when I got done with work today, but it started raining as soon as I left the building. I guess I’ll scrounge up some lunch and start granny squarin’ again.

I met **jools **in real life yesterday. It was my first time meeting a Doper in real life!

Was out until 2 AM yesterday and I was kinda falling asleep in class today. I’m still at school now. Let’s hope I won’t get caught on StraightDope.

Call your CU & ask them to give you add’l info on the payment. If it was sent electronically, ask them to provide you with the trace #. Make sure you give this to company beginning with V when you tell them to stick it. If it was sent as a check (doubtful) ask them to confirm if the check was cashed. Just cuz it was removed from your acct doesn’t mean it made it to their acct.

Better than how some of your former “brothers” would remove it.

Buddy started his pupple in a milk crate on the luggage rack. Carpeted the bottom so he could get and feel a grip and made a harness with straps to the sides so he couldn’t fall out. Took a couple hours, a buddy or two and a few six packs to design and build. Dog was say cocker sized. Once he got a pair of goggles he rode everywhere like that.

I was following a Gold Wing pulling a trailer last summer. I thought it could have been one of those mini-pop-ups but it had holes in the oddest places — sides and top but only a couple in the back. Turned out to be a pet trailer for the guys dog – a full grown Newfie!

I have inquiries with both the V company and the credit union, so I’m not slacking on this.

I’m in NY. I will, thank you, or the local equivalant. Don’t worry, I am very big on safety.

I have a tat. IRL I am the girl that no one ever thinks would have a tattoo, which is at least part of the reason I got it. It’s small, though, and is mostly covered by my watch band, but I love the look of it: it’s bright copper on caramel skin.

Howdy from da cave. After I got done up in the nawth forty I headed here. It’s rainy and ick outside. The ham is done (I left it in the slow cooker on the back porch this mornin’ to do its thang) and coleslaw is made. Gonna go deliver it in a bit. Since I’m out, I’m also gonna go meet OYKW at our favorite Mexican place cause he has a gnawin’ and a cravin’. Truth be told, I’d rather not cause it’s so ick out but I’ll be nice dammit.
