Yeah, he nailed it. I can’t recall any candidate who has acted as consistently “presidential” as Obama has. Damn, that guy’s good. Were the presidency awarded solely on merit, he’d already have it.
One possibility now arises for end game. There are some superdelegates who may see this as an opportune time to declare, particularly those who are attracted to today’s message and approach. Some of these may have more influence now than any time other than immediately before Super Tuesday. Among those would be Richardson. Healing some divisions between elements of the Latino and Black communities is something that he holds dear. This moment lets him emphasize that and his endorsement may hold meaning to other supers holding fire. I could even see Edwards using this as a soapbox and a joint conference endorsement would actually have meaning. Might get that Obama super trickle flowing a bit more quickly.
