Bob55:
See, my post was proof of the zerg rush one faces on this board After further review, I’ll concede the “morality” issue in most regards, as I did see the cheating thread earlier. BUT by “morality” I was meaning a traditional view of morality, with regards to marriage, sex and drugs. Generally, liberals tend to be a little more lenient on those issues, and there are more liberals on this board than conservatives, meaning there is less traditional morality. So showing support of traditional morality can get you attacked around here, for an example see the post where I said I didn’t agree with a woman poster here who didn’t want to get married and have kids…pretty sure it was about 4 pages of personal attacks for expressing my “traditional” opinion.
As for conservatism, well personally I’m more libertarian and I’m not going to defend this administration or the current crop of conservatives, and even with regards to the sex and drugs things I stated above, I’m liberal in that regard. I don’t want the government telling me or anyone what to do unless they are harming others. But someone expressing conservative ideas here will likely be shot down moreso than outside of the internet, as there is a lower percentage of conservative members on the SDMB than in the real world.
And for God, there is a higher proportion of atheists on this board than in the general public. I’m not sure if that’s just a “young” thing, but I believe a recent survey showed 82% of the country were Christians, and about 10% atheists. I’m betting that greater than 10% of the SDMB is atheist, which is why I said that comments regarding God are generally hot topics around here.
Soooooo, backpedaling is one of the traditional conservative values you embrace?
Hunh, after not looking into this thread for a couple days I check in on Page Four, and it seems that the thread now is about cats.
I asks ya, are we gonna tolerate that?
Cats = gods
If it was good enough for the ancient Egyptians, it’s good enough for me.
I agree, ever since they found evidence for Troy, I trust Homer and the gods of Olympus…
Especially Bart, the god of pranks.

I *thought *something was fishy here!
I always miss the imploding dogs, dammit.
Meanwhile, I just noticed this comment:
Hey, I’m not against God. He’s a heckuva guy and I’d buy Him a beer if I ever ran into him in a bar. I won’t even start in on what He was thinking when He came up with things like the appendix, allergies and cancer. Well, maybe the cancer thing.

You must be right, because we all know that God is on our side.
Dogs are just cooler, however. They just are.
Where, down at the bottom of the Marianas Trench?

No, the bass were there for 20 minutes, once, in 1960, but only for 20 minutes. Now they belong to us. Apparently.

You just have to stick by your guns in here, no matter how much of a zerg rush you face. The problem is a majority of this board is against God, Conservatism, morality , and traditional values , and the fact that they’re in the BBQ Pit just means they’re angry as well.

ZERG RUSH KEKEKE ^_^. **
< sends in gay liberal atheist moral relativist zerglings >
I’m against morality? It’s a wonder I haven’t killed, robbed or raped anyone yet.
Well, mistakes were made.

You’re lazy as well.
And your mama dresses you funny.
naturally, others will be blamed…
