My iPhone 5 just updated to iOS7. Is there a way to force specific icons to go to a certain location. As I move one it moves others around and I can’t get them in the position I want.
As far as I can tell rearranging icons is the same as before. If you have a lot of them to move around it would be easier to do in from iTunes
I believe you’re asking if you can put icons in a specific location, independent of other icons. That’s not possible now, nor has it ever been. iOS always arranges icons in complete rows on your different screens, unfortunately you can’t put one in the bottom right corner, for instance.
I didn’t know I can position them in iTunes thanks.
So I have tried it in Itunes 11 And still no luck.
Example on Screen one I have the following apps
Photos, Camera, Google [folder], Entertainment [folder]
Navagation [folder] Safari, Starbucks, Gmail
Settings, Google Voice, Passbook, Tapatalk
Trillian,RoboForm,TweetCaster,Messenger
Games[folder], Chrome,Facebook,News[folder]
I’m trying to make it
Photos, Camera, Google [folder], Entertainment [folder]
Navagation [folder] Safari, Starbucks, Gmail
Settings,Chrome, Passbook, Tapatalk
Trillian,RoboForm,TweetCaster,Messenger
Games[folder], Chrome,Facebook,News[folder]
But I can’t figure how to just swap two icons
Can’t you just drag Google Voice to a different screen and then place Chrome where Voice was?
I tried but the icons keep re-arranging to fill in any gap.
Drag the icon you want to move between the two icons you want it to be between. They’ll spring apart. You don’t need to have a gap to fill in.
So far as I can tell, this is the way it’s always worked.
