iPad Kids app question?

Hi, I’m sure it’s out there but thought I’d ask the Dope first, but is there an app for the iPad that limits kid’s access? I’m thinking an app that works like an allowance for access. For example, China Bambina gets her own logon with password, parents can set how many minutes/hours per week the kid can have, then the program automatically monitors the time, gives a warning and won’t allow logon when the time per week is used up. I’d like to set something like 2 hours per week of unrestricted iPad time, China Bambina gets to play while learning how to budget her time. Is there an app like this? Even better if it’s free :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know if there is an app like that, I certainly have never heard of one. But, after 2 hours, you could just take it away from her and that would do relatively the same thing. There won’t always be an app out there to tell her that her allotted time is running out, so maybe it would teach her to use the clock and budget her own time. Then, just password lock the iPad and she’s done for the day.

I would really doubt that such a program works, as that’s not really how apps function on iOS.

There is no such App or functionality built into iOS.

I strongly doubt that there ever will be such a limitation on the iPad. As noted, it is best to control physical access to the device.
