I’m replacing my laptop with an iPad since I never use the thing for anything other than Internet and I love the instant on of my iTouch. Of course as soon as I order one I’m seeing reports of some disturbing issues with the wifi stayig connected as well as it having very limited range. Having wonky wifi is a dealbreaker for me since I travel alot and am in hotels using the wifi.
How is your wifi working? If it’s sketchy I’m going to cancel my order.
I connect at home to an Airport Exterme and have connected at Starbucks, a hotel lobby & restaurant and my dentist. No problems in any location.
Mine seems fine. It occasionally reports lower signal strength than seems correct, but it works regardless.
Morning Joe on MSNBC, said his wifi was sketchy in various locations and one of his guests mentioned the the problem was well known and being spoken about on the Apple forums.
So you might want to mosey over to a Ipad forum or two and have a read.
Apple admitted there are WiFi issues, they have some workarounds on their site.
