I don’t really want to debate with you, but though I never have any of these issues on other sites, it’s never their fault. I’m not savvy enough to know, to be honest, but after a certain amount of time it begins to seem less than fully believable.
I can’t explain why, even as a Charter member I was still getting the redirect, but I was. See, this is why I don’t report.
No, I didn’t take a screen shot, at the time. No, I can’t recite all the specifications of by browser version and ipad version, etc, etc. Expecting the users to diagnose and detail is too much for some.
It’s your board, we pay for using it. The users love it enough to tolerate the little problems as they arise clearly, and delighted with any work around, usually user generated. But not forever.
I’m just sayin’, I think we’re getting close to the point where reporting seems pointless and any hope of things improving evaporates.
Ahhh…I would imagine that your iPad doesn’t keep you logged into the site between visits, so you’re initially coming in as a guest user and thus see the ads (and get exposed to the redirect).
I don’t report minor problems. But since I was redirected twice already while attempting this reply I think this is more than a minor problem. And I literally have never encountered this outside of this page so I was hoping something could be done on this level instead of raising Steve Jobs from the dead.
