IQ Test

Coldfire:

You put coffee IN your coffeemaker? Jeez, you must make one strooong cuppa Joe… I always start with water.

Hello. My name is AuntiePam and I’ll be your moron today. Lousy 105! Sigh. Damned pictures anyway. No spatial concepts for me, nope, not gonna do it.

And I couldn’t decipher one of the words – the ILEGRAR or whatever it was. Anyone remember that one? Shoot, I’m sitting here rearranging the letters and it still won’t register!

Well, I’m old, what can I say.

sean: the answer is deer (I get it now!) because it’s the only one with four letters.

AuntiePam: Algeria.

I scoored a 126 using the www.emode.com test, and 164 using the www.iqtest.com test. The latter test is within three points of what I’m told I was tested at in high school. Then again, my brain cells have gotten soused by a lot of beer in the 35 years since high school, so maybe the former test is more accurate.

(Actually, I think it’s because I do a lot better in “blitz” tests where you’re pressured to come up with your answers quickly and not ponder them - that’s what the test in www.iqtest.com was like. You’ve got thirteen minutes startingrightnow…)

I managed 130 despite not getting ALGERIA. So, if I’m such a genius, how come I’m not rich

Thanks, Arnold!

I did better on the quicker test, but I’m still just average. Oh well, I have a lot of company.

You guys’ll still talk to me, won’t you?

I only got 123 on the long test, but I got a 148 on the timed test. Let’s just call it 135 and be done with it.

“I like toast.”

According to the first, I have an IQ of 120something. According to the second, I’ve an IQ of 159. I took another IQ test once and it said my IQ was “over 150”. I think the second is more accurate (what the hell IS an eland, anyway?. After all, HISTORY questions? Emode can be funny, but not too accurate.

I sold my soul to Satan for a dollar. I got it in the mail.

(WHOOOOOOOHOOOO!!!) I got a 180.

I got a 460. What? You don’t believe me? Ok, I honestly scored a 137. I don’t think that these tests are very accurate, last time I checked analogies don’t make up the interior of a cockpit of a crashing plane.

“Winners never quit and quitters never win, but those who never win and never quit are idiots.”

I reeled in a 152 on iqtest.com. It was a couple years ago that I took it, though.

I am the user formerly known as puffington.

I disagree with their standings, though. Above 130 - brilliant. Nah.

Anybody ever taken the Mensa exam?
How difficult is it?

I am large,
I contradict myself,
I contain multitudes.
~Walt Whitman

I took the Mensa test and got a 146 on it if my memory serves right. It seemed pretty easy to me except that some of the little “match the pictures” pictures were blurry and out of date which didn’t make life easier. One of the pictures looked like a gas can or a fuel pump or some sort of lamp - turned out it was a circa 1940 canister vaccum cleaner.

“I guess one person can make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.”

I got some 20 something out of thirty on th e mensa test. it’s toufh too

I sold my soul to Satan for a dollar. I got it in the mail.

emode.com - 129.
iqtest.com - 166.

One of them has to be way off. Maybe both.

Not that it’s gone to my head or anything.

I took this “test” a wile ago. I still disagree with the answer to #26:
Which one of the following five is least like the other four?
Milkshake - Water -Gin - Whiskey - Milk

Water is the only pure chemical. The rest are mixtures.

#52 is of course ill-posed as well.
