For those Irish Dopers (all five of you) interested in Lisbon, Michael O’Leary is about to debate Declan Ganley on RTE’s Prime Time.
This is probably going to be the funniest debate of the whole campaign, with numerous drinking games taking place across Ireland everytime O’Leary says the F-word.

I flicked onto the channel just as it was showing the VT of Michael O’Leary saying “If he wants a debate I’ll give him one.” Then it cuts to the studio with the 2 of them standing at their podiums. I haven’t laughed as much in a long time. Such great timing. But in the end I couldnt bring myself to watch it. I got through O’Leary’s first couple of sentances and had to turn off.
Plus I get slightly worried when I’m taking his side. Surely its not just me that thinks that Declan Ganley is an evil mastermind?
Damn it, I missed it. The whole referendum has raised my hackles. I don’t see anything much wrong with the treaty except that we ALREADY had a referendum on it. I know it has supposedly been amended but this is supposed to be a democratic EU. I really hate the way Ireland is treated (by Europe and by our government and business élites) as an errant child. Also, the scaremongery on both sides of the debate is ridiculous.

I was out drinking lots of Guinness outside Grogan’s. Arthur’s Day was great, it should be a annual holiday
