Jeez I can’t wait for this movie to come out! I just love Tony Stark as portrayed by Downey. Such a perfect blend of wit, charm and hubris.

Actually, there’s more than one…I like this one even better: Marvel Entertainment - YouTube
Is that Ben Kingsley as the Mandrian? My pants are tight.
Mandarin, and it is, indeed, Sir Ben.
Wow.
I never go to the theatre anymore, but I will for this.
I was thinking about the caliber of actors that Marvel has been able to attract to these films. The main cast of IM3, and the awards they’ve been nominated for (or won):
Downey: 2 Oscar nominations, 3 Golden Globe wins
Paltrow: 1 Oscar win, 1 Golden Globe win, 1 Emmy win
Ben Kingsley: 1 Oscar win (and 3 more nominations), 1 Golden Globe win (and 5 more nominations), 4 Emmy nominations, plus a Grammy
Cheadle: 1 Oscar nomination, 2 Golden Globe wins (plus another nomination), 4 Emmy nominations
Not bad for a comic book movie.
Totally had a boner when that one was over. Yee ha.
I thought the previous trailer was crap, but this one was good. The Superbowl trailer did a really bad job of selling the movie as something that would actually be an enjoyable experience to watch.
The shot of Stark leaping into the Extensis suit alone ensures my presence opening weekend.
I’m going to seriously geek out over this movie. I’ve already warned the wife.
“We’re going to need backup!”
Cheadle: “That’s your department!”
Tony: “There’s my boys!”

I also wonder if there will be any cross-pollination in this one. Like, the Hulk having a brief cameo smashing something absurdly important with Tony like “Thanks!” and Hulk romping off into the sunset.
The Hulkbuster armour at the end is what makes it for me
I’m sure they’re will be plenty of tie-ins to the Avengers, but I hope it’s not as much as Iron Man 2. Iron Man 2 felt less like a sequel to Iron Man and more like a prequel to the Avengers.
[Little boy on tricycle voice] That was totally wicked! [/Little boy on tricycle voice]
Yeah, that trailer looks really awesome and I am getting more and more anxious to see the movie.
I still have not seen Iron Man 1 or 2, but I have seen the Avengers. I desperately need to see the first two before this comes out.
Concur. The first couple trailers seemed like it going all brooding “Dark Knight”. Hasn’t the successful Avengers movie shown the world we want fun action movies?
This last trailer brings that back!
Shittiest prequel ever.
I’ve never understood that idea. Less than 10 minutes of IM2 had anything to do with building up to Avengers. The scene in the donut shop and then the scene where Coulson finds the Cap shield prototype…and it all tied into the main plot of IM2 anyway. If nobody knew Avengers was on the horizon no would have said anything about it.
I still can’t believe we didn’t get to see – or even hear mention of – Don Cheadle suiting up during The Avengers; hope there’ll at least be a throwaway line in IM3 about how he was bodyguarding the President at the time, or something, anything.
I agree. I think they might kill Cheadle in this one in order to solve that problem…which is going to be a problem if they keep doing these. “Why doesn’t _____ just ask _____ for help?”
