Really. That’s all I’m asking for. Several hours of gut-wrenching pain, followed by an hour or so of agonizing pushing, and then a lifetime of worry and busywork. Why am I being denied this pleasure? Why am I still sitting here bloated, aching, akward, and way way way too pregnant? I’m over a week late now! What’s the damn holdup?
Rats, hon…I have been getting up early every day just to check the board and see if you had posted. I know you are enjoying being pregnant and all, but really…you should have some consideration for the REST of us!
Poor baby. I’m sure you are more impatient even than I am. And I am “chomping at the bit!”
Have you decided on a name yet?
I think Don Juan Belladonna has a nice sexy ring to it…
Seriously, darling…you are in my thoughts and prayers. Maybe today…and may it be an easy birth.
OK, time for the truth to come out. My PerfectChild[sup]TM[/sup] really isn’t. The little brat was nine days late in arriving. We’re talking late August/early September. In Florida. It’s nearly 18 years later and I feel your pain - truly!
Woohooo! Just got back from my doctor’s appointment and he’s lined me up a room for this afternoon! I’m on my way out the door to the hospital right now. I’m so excited! As soon as there’s any news I’ll probably have one of my sisters check back in here with details.

(One of my girlfriends is still mad at me. Our daughters are nearing four. See, she was due around September 15th. I was due October 13th. I gave birth September 20th. She gave birth September 28th. To make matters worse, she annouced her pregnancy about two minutes after the stick turned pink - making for a very long pregnancy. I was oblivious for most of the first trimester, and then held off announcing until I was ready to move into maternity clothes - making for a very short pregnancy. Oh, and we named the girls the same, by chance).
Congratulations, belladonna! I hope everything goes smoothly… though I’ve never had to do any of what you mentioned, I’m aware it can be a long time before baby shows up. Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer.
Good evening everyone! This is Abbey, Darcy’s sister. Well, the baby finally came! He is wonderful, healthy, and definetly knows how to make some noise. ATTICUS GREY was born tonight around 7:30 PM, weighing 8 lbs. 6oz. and measuring 21" long. He is sooo precious and I’m sure Darcy will have much more to say when she gets back home, (maybe on Saturday). Have a wonderful evening!
