Is a "Daniel" a type of knife or weapon?

Blind Blake Higgs was a calypso singer during the 50’s and 60’s. He wrote a song called Jones! Oh, Jones in which he fantasizes about all the horrible things he is going to do to this guy who stole his girl. Some of the lyrics are:

I gotta a four-foot Daniel with me
Gonna buy me gatlin’ gun
And when I meet you Jones,
You know it ain’t no use to run.
I got the ambulance down here with me,
Undertaker too
And here’s a student doctor
Offering me money for you.

What’s a four-foot Daniel?

While you’re at it, what’s a weddin’ butcher?

I’m gonna take my weddin’ butcher
Chop you thru and thru
I’m gonna chop you into pieces just big enough for stew.

…must restrain…myself…must not reply…

Bump.

I don’t think Blind Blake had you in mind, Daniel.

As a WAG, by context and the culture, I’d guess a machete.

Well, Jim Bowie had his knife, why not Daniel Boone? Just another SWAG, I can’t find anything to support that other than this reference in Boone’s memoirs:

Boone is referring to battles with the native inhabitants of the Eastern Kentucky-Western Virginia area.
