Is anyone having trouble ordering from Amazon?

I have an Amazon store as part of my home-based business, and my orders have dried up to pretty much nothing over the past few weeks, as have those of a lot of other vendors, per their own message boards. I did get an order a while back that was cancelled because Amazon said the item was unavailable, even though it was in their inventory and the item is about 4 feet away from my computer table right now.

They’ve been doing “computer updates” and things keep getting worse and worse all the time. Not good, heading into holiday season.

:smack:

I can tell you that it’s next to impossible for me to log in to my Amazon account at work, but I figured that was more my work network cracking down.

No problems for me. I ordered used books from two different marketplace sellers on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, and both went through without a glitch. Both books have been shipped but I haven’t received them yet.

My problems have been with address and delivery (like, someone there having the bright idea to combine 3 orders to different addresses and send them all to one address), but not with using the site per se.

No problems here. Received an order with no hitches last Thursday.

I just ordered a book on Friday. It was scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, but then I got an email from Amazon saying that the delivery would be delayed a few days. I then got it on Tuesday.

No problems here. I’ve ordered about 4 items via 3 separate orders over the last week or so.

Everything’s normal for me. Ordered some stuff last Friday, got it Sunday. Successfully placed another order earlier today.

I ordered a laptop through Amazon yesterday,j and received confirmation today from the selling partner in Tampa that it has been shipped. Apparently, no problem.

I’ve only had one problem, in forever. I once ordered an item from a partner seller, and never received confirmation that it has shipped. It turned out that it was a residue listing from a seller who had gone out of business a year before, and for some reason, a year later, I was the first person to order the item whose listing had never been expunged. It took me a few phone calls with Amazon to sort that out, but Amazon was wonderfully helpful and cooperative in every respect.

I mentioned this to one of my friends earlier today, and she said she’s been having trouble logging onto her Kindle.

I’ve placed two orders in the last week with no problems.

Amazon.com has been great as usual. Could be that your products are not showing up when customers search? That would be my best guess.

Get a friend or family member to add some/one of your items to their cart and start the checkout process, see how far they can get without actually finalizing the order.

Since Oct 15th I’ve placed 14 Amazon orders - not counting Kindle orders - most from 3rd party sellers.

I only had one glitch - once I could’ve sworn that when I tried to order I got a message that the item was no longer available so I ordered it elsewhere but apparently the order went through and I ended up having to return the duplicate. But - even if that was a glitch and not my mistake - the order did go through as far as the seller was concerned.

Everything works. That’s what’s puzzling to me.

Are the on-hand counts in your store correct?

Yes, they are. I’m getting page views too.

In the meantime, I did get an order.
