I am in Maryland and using my Mother’s computer. I want to check on my Amazon order status. I got to the site, I sign in, I get my recommendations and whatnot. But when I go to “Where’s my stuff?” I get no “No orders,” none ever.
I’ve had a reasonable number of glitches since Amazon “improved” its look. I can get into my account information right now, but a couple of times recently it’s told me that I have no orders. Give it a while and try again. If that doesn’t work, I’ve heard that they’re pretty responsive to customer service phone calls.
I just checked my account and everything’s there. So the problem must be intermittent.
No, not really. Amazon is a big company with low prices. One way they manage this is by minimalizing service. If you sent them a complaint, you’ll usually get a form letter response. If you send the same complaint several times, you’ll eventually get somebody to actually read it but the response will still usually be some variation of “that’s the way we do that”. If they have a procedure for doing something, they’ll do it. But if your problem falls outside of their established procedures, you’re out of luck.
Yes, really, I have had a reasonable number of people tell me that they had productive phobe conversations (not e-mails) with Amazon. Main page–> Help–>Contact us/customer service–>sign in–>phone–>call me. I’ve used it twice with results in 5 minutes. YMMV.
I could not e-mail them as I have no order number. So I had them call me. The nice Indian lady could not help at all. She looked up my account and could not find me by my e-mail address. Bummer. I hope the Kindle makes it.
Still this is the Christmas season, so I intend to chill and let the system do its work.
