Is anyone keeping up with those vaccination cards?

I saved it but it only lists the 2 Modernas I got in 2021.
I do get a flu shot every year though.

That’s what I wasn’t sure of; whether there could have been a lag between the availability of a new version and it actually being offered for use in a pharmacy, and whether I would have been told that was the case if so.

Nope. As soon as the new one is approved, the old one loses its approval and can no longer be used. I have a friend who has terrible getting vaccinated before a vacation last year because she waited just a little too long, and the new one was approved but not yet available, so no one would give her any vaccine.

Haven’t been asked to show proof of vax since sometime in early 2022, I’m sure. That said, I’m keeping up with my shots every six months. Technically I’m eligible for my next one this week, but I’m going to wait until the one targeting the predicted fall variant gets released, probably in mid-October.

Also, here in Ontario, all vax records are kept with the provincial ministry of health. Within an hour after getting the shot, I can log into the Ministry’s website with my health card number and download a .pdf showing every COVID shot I’ve had, the type/lot of the vax and the date of injection. I save the most recent one to Adobe on my phone. It’s a pretty smooth system.
