I’ve always felt that Christianity was categorically different from Judaism, though springing from the same roots. Christianity is about sin and redemption, where Judaism is basically about following rules. In fact, Judaism and Islam seem much more kin than Judaism and Christianity (which is why, parenthetically, I hate the way the term “Judeo-Christian” is typically used, as if Judaism and Christianity were basically flavors of the same thing).
So no, I can’t get behind “Judaism lite.” (What religion is “lite,” anyway?)
