I’m hearing about The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA),and I don’t think I know anything about it. Is this a done deal? Is it a good thing? Is it a bad thing? Why or why not?
I guess that’s a no. 
The House passed it which happened last year too but it was defeated via filibuster in the senate. Obama has said he would veto it were it to pass, but I dunno.
Basically, it would let the government access the records of companies like Facebook and Amazon without needing to get warrants or mess around with courts. It strikes me as being a rather undisguised attempt to bypass a person’s right to privacy but what do I know. I also am unsure how affected canadians will be.
