Is civil war in Egypt averted? 90% yes for new Constitution.

The photos in Egypt are significantly more genuine than the staged photos in freshly invaded Iraq. These celebrations are focused on their Army not and invading Army from a predominately Judeo-Christian culture and super power. You could learn a lot of good things about the revolution in Egypt from the photos if you want to. What I mean by that is that a revolution by most standards causes suffering but think of what good came of our revolution and our civil war. It all took time didn’t it?

Have some patience.

NotfooledbyW: Actually, I’m far more on your side than against you. I generally agree that the military coup that ousted Morsi was the lesser of the two evils. A military government is better than a theocracy – in much the same way as you’d rather lose a foot than lose a hand.

Burma went through this in 1963, and we’re only now starting to see the military loosen their grip. We don’t want the generals ruling Egypt for the next fifty years. You say, “Have patience,” and I actually do agree. This isn’t the end of democracy there, just a nasty set-back on the road.

(Lord God, the U.S. was lucky in having George Washington!)

are you serious???

half a million followers enough for you then?

well I’m guessing I was right and your TV didn’t show the celebrations

This guy, in expressing support for Hamas, called them “Terrorist Organization Hamas”?

Also, you’re not going to get much support from Westerners for arresting people for their tweets, no matter how shocking or provacative.

Reports are that we are hours away from General Al Sisi resigning and running for president.

SCAF have reported that Sedki Sobhi the Chief of Staff of the Military will be appointed Minister of Defence once Al-Sisi resigns.

We are looking at Egypt’s new president if the reports are true which after the celebrations all over Egypt on 25th Sisi is the man for the job.

No one can run against him and win.

The quiet humble most beloved man in Egypt right now

he wasn’t arrested for his Tweets

I’m sure “No one can run against him and win.” is an accurate statement.

Right, he was arrested for organizing a political protest, which is now illegal. Delightful. You’re not going to get much support on that one either.

Was there a reason to bring up these tweets, then? Did he actually call an organization he was a supporting a “Terrorist Organization”?

wrong again

Do you have a problem with English or is it my English that is the problem?

Is English your native language?

Wrong in what way, and about what (his arrest, or the content of his tweets, or why you brought up his alleged tweets)? Just saying “wrong” is rather useless.

My one and only.

well if English is your native language then how is it that you can’t comprehend simple sentences and twist their meanings? is it deliberate or you just can’t understand simple English?

example

This is a lie.

I don’t recall doing any twisting. I’ve tried to comprehend your sentences, and generally can, but when I ask for clarifications (such as whether Alaa actually called Hamas a Terrorist Organization in a tweet supporting Hamas), you’ve been, um, less helpful than you could be.

Ok, then why was he arrested in November 2013?

  1. Ala’a Tweet was supporting the Hamas members who killed prison officers and police and freed the prisoners during the 18 days of 25th January revolution. Morsi and MB leadership were amongst the freed. AQ jihadists were amongst the freed. Murderers were amongst the freed. Your friend Ala’a was happy that Hamas were in Wadi Natrun beside the Monastery of the Coptic church where the prison is and the freed were running all over Wadi Natrun over the walls of the monastery amongst other things and running towards and stopping cars and hijacking them to get to Cairo and Alex. Does this sound like a good guy or a bad guy?

  2. He was arrested in November for leading a protest without permission or permit. Read your own article! he admitted it. He was proud of breaking the protest law. The same law you have in your country.
What happens in your country when thousands of weaponised protestors start rampaging through your streets with no permit, no police told of route and them randomly chanting and wandering around your major cities? How long would one of those last in say NYC?

by the way

Just to let you know.

Ayman Mohyeldin the guy who wrote your article you posted joined NBC not long ago. Before that we was one of the lead reporters based in Cairo for Al Jazeera along with Sherine Tadros and Rawyah Rageh. Those 3 cover the ME region. Al Jazeera is owned by Emir of Qatar. Qatar funds the MB and Qatar has many MB and AQ in exile. Ala’a has links to MB that are well known. Ayman left AJ to spread the Qatari MB propaganda to the Americans like you via NBC.

Looks like it is working.

oh and another little piece of information

Ahmed maher of April 6th a friend of Ala’a and fellow anti coup got 2.5 million LE payment from Sheikha Moussa the Emir of Qatars wife who supports and funds the MB opposition in Libya and Syria and Egypt etc.

April 6th group whose leaders Ahmed Maher and Ahmed Douma and Mohammed Adel who like Ala’a are in jail and who are working together. All of them had no jobs or cars and suddenly they have apartments and cars and fly back and forth to Washington and New York etc.

You cry about these poor activists being jailed.

Innocent guys just out protesting. The photos your press don’t show you.

Here are some of them

Next time your TV tells you about the Ahmed Maher 6th April group of poor innocent activists being jailed and Human Rights watch going crazy condemning the Egyptian Government for it. Remember the photos above of them with their machine guns!

Egypt is NOT the USA where people walk around with guns. Farmers and Military men are the only ones who usually have licences for guns and farmers are not allowed machine guns just cartouche rifles to shoot desert dogs.

You seem to be missing my point…people who support Hamas and similar groups generally don’t think of them or refer to them as terrorist organizations. This, alone, casts doubt on the tweet being genuine. As well, you’ve supplied no source but yourself.

 That’s what I said. Why did you say I lied?

Please provide evidence of an American law which prohibits public gatherins of more than 10 people without government approval.

Marmite Lover, it is explicitly against the rules of Great Debates to accuse another poster of lying.

I’m giving you an infraction. Please refrain in the future.
