The human ego is a powerful thing, so I would tend to think this is true. If you’re not the hero, then who is?
My best friend, Eileen.
I don’t even feel like the hero in my own story.
I am the supporting hero. The one who did the quest but failed and must pass the task on to someone better, stronger and more skilled than I. My children are the heroes in my story.
…now if I can only make them do their homework…
Nah.
I’m a Supporting Character who exists only to provide the Hero with the assitance he or she needs to triumph at the end of the picture.
I console myself with the fact that at least I’m not the Comedy Relief.
I’m the wise-cracking sidekick, as played by Eve Arden.
Not in the Anti-Drug ads.
I’m most definitely the villain.
How about the mysterious loner who shows up to help from time to time, then leaves?
Thats me, but only cause I keep forgeting my coat.
Nah. Heroes are only the “other guy”.
That reminds me of the George Carlin gag where he says: “Ever notice that anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac?”
There´s lots of heroes, like in Dos Passos books.
So you’re my nemisis huh? I always knew there was something fishy about you.
Coming next January: Season 27 of the award winning show “Optihut”. Plot twists from Season 23 will be picked up again and season 24’s villain is scheduled to make a cameo guest appareance on the show as well! Stay tuned…
I guess the truism here is “Nobody is the hero of their story”.
Well, for a little over twenty years I wasn’t the hero of my story. But then things changed and I finally realized I’d make a damn good hero, so don’t miss the aforementioned season 27
I don’t know who the hero is, but I consider myself the comic relief.
I’m just worried that my part will be left on the cutting room floor…
I’m the tragic hero. You know, the one that everyone and the Universe kick around around until they can’t take it anymore and then end up climbing a bell tower with a sniper rifle. Yeah, that’s me.
