Is Fox News really all that bad?

The Onion has been having trouble keeping up with reality when it comes to the GOP and their cast of idiots.

On the main Fox News website this morning, you can find 10 headlines containing “Barr”. Not one of them is about Barr not finding any significant voter fraud. However, they do have an article complaining that the other network news aren’t mentioning something else Barr did:

“Network newscasts skip Barr appointing John Durham as special counsel to investigate origins of Russia probe”

Pot, meet Kettle.

I just find this amusing but it tells you that the vetting at Fox (business news) is not too good. Bartiromo did issue a correction but how embarrassing.

Bartiromo believed she was interviewing Dennis Organ, the president and CEO of Smithfield Foods, the self-proclaimedworld’s largest pork producer. In fact, she had been interviewing Matt Johnson, press coordinator for animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere. For six minutes.

While watching a football game i saw a commercial for Fox “News”. They use a blurb about Hunter Biden as a way to bring in viewers. Apparently they’re trying to reach that small group of people that think Hunter Biden is newsworthy and aren’t already watching Fox.

There was this

What did Alec Baldwin do to piss off Fox News?

Every day for the last week they’ve been running stories about Baldwin’s wife Hilaria and her “Spanish heritage scandal”.

In some galaxy this apparently is news.

He has been doing parody portrayals of Individual-ONE on SNL for several years now. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I think this story is popular with the Fox audience because it feeds into the whole white victimhood thing. Non-whites and foreigners receive all sorts of advantages and special treatment that is unavailable to whites, The white (race traitor) liberals know this and so are pretending to the ethnic so that they can get all of those great perks. Its the same reason that they got so upset about Warner’s native American ancestry.

Those were parodies?

Shep Smith finally reveals why he left:

Smith, now host of the nightly show “The News with Shepard Smith” at 7 pm ET on CNBC, told Amanpour that his presence on Fox became untenable as opinion shows on the network spread falsehoods that hosts knew were lies.

“Opine all you like, but if you’re going to opine, begin with the truth and opine from there,” Smith said. “When people begin with a false premise and lead people astray, that’s injurious to society and it’s the antithesis of what we should be doing: Those of us who are so honored and grateful to have a platform of public influence have to use it for the public good.”

1984! 1984! 1984! 1984! 1984!

I watched a little Fox yesterday during the inauguration and I noticed one subtle yet important thing they do whenever in a discussion with “experts” or among opinion panelists: they frequently allude to the “74 million voters who voted for Donald Trump” as someone who must be appeased to further unity but they NEVER (never ever ever) mention that 81 million voters voted for Joe Biden. We will never exist as anything but faceless oppressors to right wing media.

To be fair, that tactic is favored among others as well. Michael Moore once wrote in a book (Stupid White Men) published soon after the 2000 presidential election in which he claimed that “200 million Americans didn’t vote for Bush. In a nation of 250 million, that makes us the majority.” What he omitted was that, by that same logic, 200 million didn’t vote for Gore, either.

Not that I’ve ever been a big fan of Moore, but it should be pointed out that in that particular case, more people voted for Gore than voted for Bush.

Are you actually holding a book found in the humor section of your local bookstore and a television news network to the same standards?

Bothsidesism doesn’t care about scale or relevancy in its accusations of hypocrisy.

Yeah, some random right winger* once said:

Black doods staying inside playing Call of Duty is probably one of the biggest factors keeping crime down.

If CNN claimed “White crackers not being able to read is the primary reason we were able to get a Democratic President this time around.”, it would simply be the same tactic, right?

*Although he did in fact work for Fox News.

Joe Biden President for nine hours and 400 000 Americans are dead

Chyron under Hannity’s face with the red “fox alert” stripe under it – link may or may not work.

Is that real? I can believe it but it also smells like photoshop.

There’s no way that’s real.
