Is going bald difficult emotionally?

I can’t find the article with a time-frame, but here’s part of the story.

Also, I just wanted to mention that nothing feels better than a freshly shaved head laying down on a nice, cool pillow.

Why can’t a man’s face go bald and leave the wanted hair where it is?

I noticed it thinning at about 23, and since I always had trouble settling on hair (basically with a cut it and forget it mentality) I said, “Eh, screw it”. I got my friends together for my 24th birthday, and had a big, drunken, shave my head party. Haven’t looked back since.

From what I remember, I was worried about it when I was younger (What would I look like without hair? What if my head is lumpy!) but once I decided it was time, I was ok with it. And, I wouldn’t know my current SO w/out the baldness, so there’s a plus. I do think I look better, too.

I went bald in the space of 10 minutes, so yeah, it was a bit traumatic. But I rapidly got used to it.

When you’re hot and sweaty and a cool breeze blows across your head, it can be very nice indeed. And you can wipe off the sweat with a towel without worrying about your hair.

I am bald and don’t like it-I am always banging my head on something and cutting my scalp. Hair provides a lot of protection-losing is a problem!
