Is Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back a 24 reboot?

After the lackluster reception 24: Legacy received, I had heard a rumor that Fox was looking to reboot the show. One silly concept I heard was a legal drama, which would at least turn the typical formula on its head (“Adjourned for six weeks while the motion is considered? Dammit, that’s way too much time!”) but would be way too contrived. However, it occurred to me that 24 may have actually had a soft reboot already, in the form of Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back. As I originally put it:

Now I only watched the first episode so I am not sure if this new GR series took on a life of its own but to me it was a reality show version of 24 with the exact same plot holes (Jack Bauer and Gordon Ramsay both apparently never need to sleep). Did anyone else notice similarities between the two?
