A bunch of people who disagree with octopus is not a hive, and not groupthink. You haven’t convinced me that there’s anything more nefarious or negative going on at the Dope than that its membership happens to be left-leaning (the horror!). You haven’t really even tried. Putting actual, real effort into arguing a point seems to be something you lost interest in long ago. Shouting “hive!” and “groupthink!” over and over, again and again, is not an actual argument.

But saying that Mexico is a failed state is a clear misunderstanding of the phrase failed state. If Ditka is saying that Mexico is “failing” it’s only because it’s big buddy to the north has had a hand in helping them fail. We buy their drugs; we send gangs money and weapons.
