Is Imus in hiding?

What have he and his crew been doing the last two weeks?

I haven’t seen any sign of them in public. I’d sure love for them to come back and make sure that the hypocrites who sucked up to him before he crossed the PC line don’t get a free ride.

Don’t I recall one of Hillary’s team (Begala I think) on the show in the week or two prior stating that she’d love to come on his show? Obviously she changed her tune rapidly.

He’s 67 years old, probably has plenty of money, and will just retire quietly. If gets an itch to be in the public eye again he’ll probably do the talk show rounds.

The “Imus situation” reminds me of the “Gary Condit affair”. All it took for Imus to disappear from the radar was Virginia Tech. Same for Condit after 9/11.

You can bet they they were just praying for a bigger news story to overshadow theirs. That’s all it takes, folks.

So you are saying that Gary Condit was the real conspirator behind 9/11 and Imus was behind the VT massacre? :dubious:

obviously this is a joke, it was really Bush!

I read somewhere that he is going to take a few months before deciding if he wants to try to return to radio or do something else.

He’ll probably pop up with a fat new contract on XM Radio.

Stern, being on Sirius, is insulated because it is subscription. There’s no reason why Imus can’t do the same thing.

I felt dumb when I tuned in and was surprised to hear the rest of the guys on. For some reason I thought they wouldn’t go on without him.

I don’t know, don’t you? I like to see that before I pass judgement.

I heard Fucking McGuirck got canned the other day. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

Imus is only 67? He must have lived a hard life.

I am pretty sure he was an addict and maybe an alcoholic for a while. I just heard it mentioned in passing a few times on his show.

He has.

You don’t expect them to lose their income by quitting in a show of support for Imus do you?

In any case, I’m sure they are still on only until real replacements are hired.

He does have plenty of money.

Imus, 66, was among the most recognizable voices on radio, and commanded a salary estimated at $10 million a year.

Not really a General Question. Moved to MPSIMS.

I read somewhere the other day, he’d hired an attorney.

Didn’t read the story so the attorney could have been hired to assist with a mortgage closing or update his will.

A bunch of the people on his show were WFAN employees with jobs outside of Imus in the Morning. I imagine those people will stick around.

He has a five year contract with CBS that will have to be disposed of through negotiation, or else it will end up in court.

Imus has a face made for radio, and a voice made for print.

I’m sure it has a clause in it that allows for early termination by CBS. The contract was probably to prevent him from jumping ship, not them from kicking him out.
