April 1st? One of my co-workers has a tear-off calender on her desk, specifically for left-handed people. Each day you get a bit of left-handed trivia, plus some famous left handed people that were born on that day. Todays celebrity birthday was

Blasphemy! Cecil always was and always will be.
I heard he was born April 31 due to a clerical error.
I didn’t know that Cecil Adams was left-handed. But then, I’ve never been complimented by him.
Of course, April 1 is also the birthday of Toshiro Mifune, William Harvey, Otto von Bismarck, and John Clayton, Lord Greystoke. So he’s in good company.

I thought I had remembered reading that in a column or two of his a long time ago. It’s strange the things that stick in your head for no comprehensible reason. A search confirms it:
