Is it cold where you live - Too bad, I having a pool party

It’s less than 10 degrees C in London today. Nothing like the top bits of North America, but there’s a small chance it’ll snow by Christmas.

Thankfully, I’m flying home to Australia on Boxing Day. And I’m not coming back to the UK until it’s springtime.

I’m tired of you damn SoCalians having cooler summers and warmer winters than us! You’d think we’d get rewarded for Julys where it doesn’t get below 105F - even at night - but no, it’s a downright bitter 61F right now .

Your “reward” is that it’s cheaper to live there.

Yeah, I don’t buy that either. :frowning:

Which sounds negatively awful.

I awoke at 7:00am this morning practically drowning in my own sweat. The air was stifling, the ceiling fan had stopped and the airconditioner wasn’t running–a power blackout. There were a couple of thunderstorms arguing angrily outside.

I cannot describe the absolute relief I felt when the fans came back on, it was like someone had dropped the temperature by 10C.
