That is a tough call; yes, you have changed the parameters of your relationship, but no, you shouldn’t be forced to breathe smoke that you find repulsive, especially after you have done the work to quit and get healthier. I think your wife is being a little callous of your wishes,

Quite frankly, she’s being more than a little callous, she’s being downright rude.

It’s definitely fair to ask. I think it’s quite fair to demand, but that might not be a very practical solution.
