Now that he’s back in office, these people will crawl out from under their rocks.
I fully expect his regime to invent some reason to need a Citizens’ Enforcement Corps or something. And encourage every violent racist jerk to join up for the benefit of being able to parade around armed, bust heads, and have the real cops either high-five them for their work or turn a very determined blind eye.
Then we’ll see the fireworks.
They’ll be looking for the next big protest movement, or next big set of protests. When those protests happen, then the MAGA brown-shirts will probably use it as a pretense for violence.
It also seems inevitable that protesters somewhere will be shot during this administration.
I don’t think it’s inevitable, but it certainly won’t be surprising if it happens. If we were betting on it, I’d bet that something will happen, for what that’s worth, but I’m not convinced that’s a sure thing bet.
