You deliberately wrote a sub-par article, submitted it to Teemings knowing ahead of time that it would be rejected because it sucked, pretended to be upset by the rejection by posting a rant in the pit, provided a link to your tripe so the SDMB as a whole could read it (again being fully aware that it was no good), and waited giddily for people to call you a whiny sore loser on purpose? This means we “took the bait”?

I am hoping that he will see that though his shining example of literary splendor and critical thinking was callously turned down by the coeditors for reasons that can only be purely malicious, this in itself can be no reason not to share it.
Once this Magnum Opus sees the light of day, it must surely become apparent why it was so ruthlessly suppressed. Then of course, we will be free to judge for ourselves and act appropriately.
I can see the moderators and coeditors trembling now in apprehension of this coup de grace. ::Giggle:: Really.
BTW, for a first effort I thought Teemings was excellent. With just a few articles and poetry I felt the diversity of interests and thinking that is the best of this message board was surprisingly well represented, and I hope the tradition will continue.
I hope you won’t mind if I go into a lengthy, well-balanced, and point-by-point analysis of theuglythruth’s behaviour in this thread. In fact, I wouldn’t mind it either. It’s just that all my attention is gonna be wasted on this steaming pile of sheep manure. So, rather than amuse us all, I will tell TUT the message in plain and simple words even he can understand.

I enjoyed Teemings, and I’m going to make a point to submit an article in the future. I might follow TUT’s example and write about the belly button lint illuminati conspiracy… yeah, that’s it.
I’m also considering submitting to the teeming thingy . . . got to find a recent English assignment that’s usable. Probably going to end up being my poem. A POS, but oh well. I strive for immportality daily.

Based on your well thought out commentary, I now know why my article was rejected. It was simply too heady for most of the Dopers. Even someone of YOUR brilliance would be not able to follow it.
If I were to post it on the SDMB, I would have to post it for free. Out of the goodness of my heart, and because of my admiration for Cecil, I lowered myself to try and help the SDMB with it’s new Teemings project.
And get this: I even waived my $1000 per article fee!

Looking at the page you linked to (why’d you link to it as an example of “real reading” if nothing works?) I think I can see why you feel your work is undervalued. Note that you’re only attracting flak for your article because you started a Pit thread.
Like arguing “bosses are unfeeling power-mad slobs” at a union meeting, arguing “the drink-driving laws are out of control” amongst callow libertarians is not much of a challenge. It is easy to think you are better at running a case than you actually are. People are all too willing to gloss over the odd inconsistency for a good rhetorical slapping of Leviathan. You probably don’t have to be careful about externalities or the government’s role (rightly or wrongly) as the insurer of last resort. You can just fast-forward to the ridicule.
But that’s not argument. It’s the political and intellectual version of the biscuit game (a really uglytruth). It no more indicates your brilliance as an advocate or analyst than would convincing a group of football supporters that their team deserves to win.

I may not be an Einstein (although, after reading enough on it, I think I’m beginning to grasp what the Theory of Relativity is all about - not bad for an Alpha-brain), but unlike you, I seem to have evolved into a multi-celular carbon based life form.
What WERE you thinking when you posted this OP? That we would all bow down to your intellectual superiority? That the editors would see the error of their ways and allow your horrible piece of human waste to be included in Teemings?

And if it all was a joke, as you so unconvincingly claimed earlier on, you would have certainly refrained from reacting so fiercely to all the negative responses following that. Instead, you choose to single each and every one of them out in order to grace them with replies that get lamer as the reader scrolls down.
