Is it just me, or.....

…is the background changed to alternating light and dark grey?

If it is old, it just jumped out at me today…

Looks the same to me.

Okay, just wondering if I was going nuts, or if my PC was messing up…

Thanks.

It’s light gray and white, isn’t it?

Well, to me it appears that the border is white, while the actual text panels are medium grey and light grey, with occasion dark grey headings.

That’s what it is, Joe. It’s been like this forever, though. At least since we use vB, but off the top of my head, the UBB forums used a similar colour scheme.

… or, Joe, you could be having double vision.

Do you see everything twice?

Well, the background color is #FFFFFF (255). The cells alternate between #DFDFDF (223) and #F1F1F1 (241). In this notation, black is 0 and white is 255. The color “gray” is 128, and “silver” is 192. So, I would say they alternate between very light gray and very very light gray. :stuck_out_tongue:

Heh. I love this place. :stuck_out_tongue:

You mean it’s not pink? (don’t remind me of that… :))

FWIW, the V1 vBB used #F7F7F7 and an imperceptibly-off #DEDFDF, for whatever reason.

But don’t feel stupid for not having seen the difference, our eyes do a good job adjusting to the local contrast, as this illusion shows: http://www-bcs.mit.edu/people/adelson/checkershadow_illusion.html

Boy, that explains it right there…Thanks!
