I would like to change my (rather boring) user name, but I could´nt find anything on this topic in the FAQ´s.
Is it possible, and if so, what do I have to do?

Email TubaDiva, and if your name change request isn’t frivolous or annoying, she’ll change it for you.
You should email an administrator; they’re the only ones who can change your username. Three I know offhand are:
tubadiva AT aol DOT com
ckdexthaven AT aol DOT com
edzotti AT aol DOT com
Addresses broken to foil spambots. You know what to do.
It may take some time for one of them to get back to you, so it’s recommended that you contact at least two; even so, it can take time.

Just an FYI. I had my user name changed just after the move to the new server and have lost my charter member status…
Add Lynn Bodoni and Gaudere to the list of Admins, I believe – but it is normally TubaDiva who handles this IIRC.
Policy in the past has been to give one non-frivolous name change on request … any additional changes will be denied unless one has an exceptionally good reason for requesting it. I don’t know if that has changed.
Ike, there’s a lot of teaking relative to Member titles that needs to be done yet. There should be a thread where you note the problem to keep them apprised of it.
While we never want screen names to be like this year’s fashions we are amenable to screen name changes that are reasonable. Sometimes it takes a bit for people to find themselves. Most people are entirely sensible in this process and it works out appropriately.
