I noted in a FB discussion that Jason Isbell was said to be a pretentious and self-righteous jerk. I suspect that those commenters based their remarks on their disagreement with his politics. What have you heard from credible sources? Thanks.
I haven’t heard. But lots of people who get big seem pretentious to some degree.

As far as I know, he can be difficult to work with and live with (even now that he’s sober) but pretentious is not a word I would use to describe him.
