Looks like an appeals court said former student could sue, OSU appealed to the Supremes, and they refused to hear the case. So now the individual students are able to bring suits, and you can be sure Ole Gym will be called as a witness or defendant.
Totally unrelated, but Mr. Jordan lives about 5 miles from us. I see him all the time at a local restaurant, and ran in to him last month at the local golf course. Lucky me. (I’m being facetious - I’m not a fan of him.)
Wouldn’t saying “Asshole” when ever you walk by him be protected by free speech? It that’s too derogatory, I’m sure we could come up with something else.

I don’t think there is a “case,” so to speak. I think that’s unfortunate, but from a criminal or even public opinion perspective, he’s skirted any real punishment for what he did. Which was, best anyone call tell, looking the other way when he was made aware of credible abuse allegations.
He could be sued directly by Richard Strauss’ victims still, I suppose, but I haven’t seen anything to suggest there’s any interest in doing that. AIUI, they want to see the university. Jordan may be involved in that, but he won’t face any personal liability.
Again, unfortunately.
