Is Lady Bird Johnson alive or dead?

The title says it all.

My dad says that she died a couple of years ago, and other people tell me that she’s dead, but I’ve checked www.dpsinfo.com and I’ve googled and I can’t find anything that says she died. I can’t imagine that her death would slip below everyone’s radar, but dad is sure that he remembers hearing that she died. Was there a false death report a couple of years ago?

She’s alive but old as the hills.

My girlfriend that lived in Texas over 13 years ago says she’s still alive. How’s that for a cite?

Alive, as of this posting - she’s still in play at stiffs.com - 9th on the 2003 list, with 240 people betting on her.

Yeah, I figured that she was probably alive, but it seems like everyone around me remembers hearing that she died a few years ago after having a serious stroke. (I did check the dead pools, BTW. She’s a very popular choice, along with Ronald Reagan and the pope) Does anybody remember hearing rumors of her death a few years ago, or are my friends and relatives all suffering from some sort of mass hallucination?

BTW: Dpsinfo.com says that she was born on December 22, 1912, which means that she’s 90 years old.

If she’s dead, it’s news to the White House.

I do remember seeing that she has been in and out of the local hospital (including quite a scare a few months ago) this year, but she’s still hanging on.

The local news likes to talk to Luci Banes now, since I’m pretty sure Lady Bird can no longer give a useful interview.

She was certainly very much alive when I met her three years ago, and she seemed in fairly good shape then.
