I’ve always been intrigued by this Swiss stuff. It looks like soy sauce, tastes like a really good grade, too. That’s what I use it for. But the ingredients label lists only “water, hydrolized vegetable protein, salt.” No mention of soy anywhere. Is the HVP soybeans? If not, what is it?
Even regular soy sauce usually has wheat in it, so the HVP could be something other than soy. (Pure soy sauce is called tamari sauce, IIRC.)
