Is Orthodontal work billed under Dental?

I was trying to find out of my sons braces would go under dental. Our new insurance does not have dental yet and I have the option of keeping our old dental inurance. It really wouldn’t be worth keeping it unless it will pay toward dental.

I can’t call and ask our old insurance company because we are not in the system until I send 2 payments of $65 toward the dental insurance and therefore they cannot answer my question until we are considered members of their company again.

So, does anyone know, if orthodontal work is normally billed under dental?

Often it is, but it all depends on the policy. You will have to ask your insurance company.

I find it suprising that you can’t get an answer. You may be asking the wrong person. Talk to a sales rep and tell them you’d be paying them money if they give you the information. That should help.
