A few years back, I was given a tube of shaving cream, which was a type containing sandalwood oil. I liked the smell, and it was very good shaving cream. Now I’ve used it up, and the maker has discontinued it.
Going on the web, I do see several europen brands-bt all are very expensive.
Does the sandalwood oil have any real benefits, or is is just a pleasant smelling oil?
Sandalwood along with patchouli oil is so seventies and eighties.
I’m using a Sandalwood shave soap from Crabtree and Evelyn. I do enjoy the aroma quite a lot, very manly. Don’t know that it has much more than just scent for me, but I am getting better shaves lately, between that and going to a Merkur and almost taking shaving as a meditative experience.
