Is Season 3 of Boston Legal as politically preachy as Season 2?

I’ve been watching Season 2 of Boston Legal on DVD, and while it’s a great show, every episode has a clumsy, ham-handed speech on some political issue shoehorned into it. While I mostly agree with the causes they’re promoting, it’s a little patronizing, not to mention quite annoying.

Is Season 3 like this as well, or did they tone it down some?

In Season 3, it’s replaced with Candice-Bergen-Older-Women-Are-Super-Duper-Sexy-We-Swear! getting pounded into your head as many times as possible.

Seriously, though, it’s still worth watching simply because it’s better than almost anything else on TV.

Agreed, on all counts. I’m getting really tired of virtually every man on that show slavering after Bergen…though I have to admit she has pretty eyes.

What they said.

Actually, I didn’t see most of season two so I can’t compare. Season three has had some preaching in the closing statements, but it doesn’t happen at every trial or in every episode.

I complained about Candice Bergen as a sex queen too, but now I’m okay with it. I think it’s a backlash against vapid young hot women and I like it.

Remember Richard Fish and Dyan Cannon in Ally McBeal. Dave Kelley has an agenda. I just pretend the flaws aren’t there.

See, me, I like vapid young hot women
