Is Sweden really the liberal socialist paradise it's made out to be?

Two years ago, my wife and I flew into Trondheim, Norway on our way to a small village in Sweden. There were very few people at the airport and it took awhile to find someone to help us with a rental car. I asked about getting on the right road to Sweden (I had instructions from there). The directions she gave me did not include the highway number stated in my directions, but she assured me that there was only one way to get to Sweden. Because of this fact, we got to see a whole lot more of Sweden than we would have. My point is that Norwegians obviously don’t travel much to Sweden and probably the reverse is true also. Both countries are beautiful, however in the neck of woods we were in it is hard for Sweden to compete with Norway for scenery. Since Trondheim is the only city we visited (we spent 2 days there on the way home) I can’t make a comparison with any Swedish city. I will say that Trondheim is on my list of places I’d like to go back to visit. There are no polar bears, but we did see reindeer and heard rumors of muskoxen being near the Swedish village.
