Is taking viatmins worth it?

I have been taking vitamins lately. Does it actually do anything worthwhile? That’s it. That’s my question.

I put it here because I figured it was a matter of opinion.

Yes and no - IMHO

Yes because there will always be deficiencies in a modern diet, and vitamins can help plug that gap.

No because I’ve seen the colour of my urine after taking them, and wonder if I have just given myself more expensive pee…

I can only speak from personal experience, but vitamins definitely did a lot of good for me. I used to come home from work and be so exhausted I couldn’t even move. I’m a computer geek - I sit at a desk all day. I also have the most hideous diet imaginable - I eat mostly junk food and never eat fruits and vegetables at all. It’s a miracle I’m alive. Heh… Anyway, I started taking vitamins because I knew intellectually it was what my body needed, but I never expected them to have any noticable effect. Since I started, the exhaustion has completely gone away and I feel good all day (well, except morning, but I have never been able to function in the morning). I don’t believe this is a placebo effect because I honestly had no expectations that the vitamins would have a noticable effect. So keep it up - it helped me!
