Is that Sally Field...

…in the Boniva (osteoporosis medicine) TV ad?

Yes, I believe it is.

Thanks.

Every time I see the ad, I think, “Is that her, or is it just someone who looks like her?” Dunno what I expect her to look like.

Yep, that’s Sally Field. Whenever I see that commercial, I roll my eyes when she says that her health is “an important part of who I am.” Yer darn tootin’ it is, hon. Without some degree of health, you’d be dead. Somehow this reminds me of the famous Brooke Shields quote, “If you’re killed, you’ve lost a very important part of your life.”

I saw that commercial.

She’s still a very pretty lady (seen through 56 year-old eyes), and since I missed the boat on Julie Andrews, I’d like to put my name in the hat for Sally, please.

Thanks

Yeah, I’ll say. “Sally Field” and “sexy” never went together in mind before (I think I was too used to thinking of her as Mama Gump), but I saw her recently in “Norma Rae,” and wow…

Comon!! It’s a commercial promoting preventive measures to avoid health issues for us mature folks. Shows her exercising. It’s a fact that deserves being stressed. You don’t bounce back as quickly as you get older and it’s smart to take care of yourself in a preventive medicine way. There’s nothing stupid about her comment although we can’t say the same for yours.

I just watched her as a mature lady who had made an bad choice and lost everything and had to start over working as a housekeeper. As a mature fella I thought. Hmmmm Sally is hot.

Sally Field likes her Boniva. She really likes it.

Yikes. I was just making an offhand remark. Are you related to Sally Field or somethin’?

Friend, have you never seen Smokey and the Bandit???

ummmm

tsfr

She was pretty hot in “Murphy’s Romance”, too.

VCNJ~

That’s not Sally Field, that’s Abby Lockhart’s bipolar mother!

AT least she’s not “adding flavor to taste”

sigh

My favorite part is when she is talking about how much easier it is to take only one pill per month rather that one pill per week, like once a week is such a strain on her schedule. :dubious:

Yes, I watch way too much Lifetime TV.

I just saw it tonight and think she looks rather attractive.

That and there are some of us who have to take daily medication. Big whoop.

Nope, I was just making an offhand remark about your offhand remark.

Sally and I were the same age when she was Gidget.Does this mean I got older too?

Really. The only thing that makes Boniva (and Fosamax) different is the regimen – take it as soon as you get up, and you can’t eat or drink or lie down for 30 minutes after. Not a big deal at all, for something you only do once a week.

Friend, you’ve just given me another movie for my NetFlix queue.

Is there a Mr. Gump…Mrs Gump?
