I’m sure that both parties are represented in there, in at least part. But one also assumes that these were written in priority order so… Yeah, hard to get past #4 and #5 without noting that it’s pretty clear that Junior didn’t actually read the Nazi platform.

I posted my query in this forum in hopes that Republicans would participate. Is the brilliant son of America’s greatest President spot-on with this comment? Or is this one of those rare occasions when his viewpoint is not completely correct?

Well, there is at least one poster on this board who in earnest posted that Nazis were leftist. So, certainly, there are those among Trump supporters who would agree. They would be wrong, but they would certainly agree.
Because its not a serious accusation. Anyone who knows history knows that the Trumpist movement is a protofascist movement, the same way that the Nazis were a full fledged fascist movement.
Both believe in scapegoating the others, in suppression of civil rights, in hostility to democracy, in warmongering, in adulation of a single leader, in authoritarianism, rejection of internationalism, in corporatism, election fraud, etc. etc.
It’d be like if the democrats said the RNC platform was scaringly similar to the platform of the USSR. Its an idiotic comment made my idiots designed to persuade idiots whose minds are already made up.
I notice in fox news now the right is trying to push the idea that the democrats are the bad guys because of slavery 160 years ago. They neglect that it was southern whites who made up the democratic party 160 years ago, and now 80-90% of southern whites are republicans.
Also polls in the GOP primary showed a huge % of GOP primary voters felt the south should’ve won the civil war. Barely 1/4 were glad the north won.

I know this is sarcasm – but it did remind me that some of the Nazi’s pro-family policies (well, pro-some-families) were criticized here as totalitarian/creepy. See, for instance, the beginning of the Disney propaganda cartoon Education for Death: little Hans’s parents are rewarded for bearing children to feed the Nazi war machine.
Back to the OP: I don’t think that in any wide-ranging comparison between the NSDAP platform and our two major US parties today the Democrats end up closer. The Nazis were, y’know, Nazis! Extremely racist nationalists! Proponents of a militarized society united behind a capital-L Leader! Opponents of the “lying press!”

For the first 16 months of his Administration, Trump averaged only 6.5 lies per day according to the Washington Post Fact Checker. This really isn’t the sort of “greatest-ever” Presidency that America was expecting. I recall a Prime Minister of Thailand who might have lied at this rate or close to it.
But over the last two months, this same Fact Checker, reports, the Trump has been producing an average of 16 lies per day! What an improvement!! And these aren’t minor white lies (“I won’t cum in your mouth, honey — and keep the noise down, I think Melania’s home”) — these are major lies about facts and governmental actions.
Idi Amin didn’t do that. Slobodan Milošević didn’t do that. Even Saddam Hussein never got up to Sixteen Lies per Day.
Americans should be proud of this stable genius. Make America Great Again!
