Update: Pope Francis apparently bewilders Sarah Palin – no big deal there . . .
But, this Pope is also making the Mob nervous.

No, you still have to be a Catholic. You just don’t have to be a priest.
Any particular reason you needed to cross post that into two other threads? Want me to start some other threads for you to pad your posts in?
Yes, there is: I wanted to post it to all recent (as in, post-papal-election) threads Francis-related. Didn’t get 'em all, I’m sure, but three is enough.
God forbid anyone here should be bereft of your wisdom, BG.
Well, at least he’s a consistently good poster.
More like The Pope Must Die.
Well, I guess I didn’t ask you if there was a good reason, so that’s on me.
Maybe next time you could at least spam out something that’s unique and clever?
Dunno about clever, but if the Pope is crossing the Mob, that’s at any rate pretty damned important.
So what? He also criticizes abortion.
True, and neither is about to go away.
Being wrong half the time is better than being wrong all the time.
There’s nothing new in the Pope’s message. Popes have been ranting about social and economic justice for decades. The only thing that is really different is the tone. He’s not putting abortion and homosexuality up in the spotlight, but that seems more like a marketing thing. Both are still considered sins and that isn’t going to change for some time, if ever.
I like this guy’s style, but the substance is pretty much status quo, with the exception that he might clean house a bit more than his predecessors.
In his latest “apostolic exhortation” Francis rules out any changes on abortion or ordaining women – but, he does want a “conversion of the papacy,” i.e., he wants the Church decentralized and for bishops to have “real doctrinal authority.” Interesting. Especially since that raises the question of what happens if a bishop decides to ordain a woman, etc.
Absolutely. One of them is Zladko Vladcik, of Molvanîa.
I was initially skeptical on the authenticity of his antipope-ness, but I became a believer when he said,
Like a lion kills an antelope!
Like a hammer hits a cantaloupe!
And God forbid that anyone should criticize abortion.
But what’s his opinion on de-clawing cats?
Corsi always was, and always will be, a scumbag.
Dunno, but he probably like soccer.
