Is there a Santa Claus?

Is there a Santa Claus? No, there isn’t!
I fail to understand why Cecil even dealt with such an open-and-shut case. Once he did… the whole thing screams “cop-out!”.
One of the poorest columns ever, I’m sorry to say. Fighting Ignorance… really!?

Dani

(unless this was a joke column. But I still didn’t like the cop-out at the end)

Hey! Here’s a riddle for Gilbert and Sullivan fans!

What does the above post have in common with an official government utterance?

Unca Cecil’s column was lited in the “Fortean Times” for 12/23/03.

I’ll second the OP. It seems to me there are more pressing questions to be answered, including questions that not everybody over the age of 12 knows the answer to.

A couple of years ago there was a joke email going around about how the story of Santa Claus is too impractical, and it was a more thorough explanation of why there is no such person.

cityboy and noone special, you obviously have no poetry in your souls. I bet you think that love is based purely on sexual drive, too.

I give up.

What does the post have in common with an OGU?

(Sigh!)

Poetry, schmoetry. Cecil blew it.
