Is there a way to lock a desktop keyboard?

Is there keystroke sequence or a link in a menu to temporarily turn off the keyboard while still being able to use the mouse & monitor?

I have a 5 1/2 wk old kitten living in my computer room, and he’s just learned how to get up on the desk…

you can try this free utility

To lock the keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+L.

There’s a program for exactly this purpose.

Put a cardboard box on the desk.

This article lists several programs. Some lock both the keyboard and mouse or just keyboard only.

For some reason I find its warning box declaring “CAT-LIKE TYPING DETECTED” rather hilarious!

You can also exit this window by typing the word “human”.

Now I want to type “cat” or “dog” to see what it says…

Ahhh, you guys are great  Thanks!

And the “cat-like typing…” cracked me up too

Oh, and THIS is the reason for the question…

He matches the keyboard perfectly!!!
Don’t try to keep him away from it …they belong together.

Thanks for the daily dose of cuteness.

My wireless keyboard has an off switch.
