I get summary e-mails and e-mailed every time someone posts to a thread I started. I know how that could be useful but I would rather it didn’t but don’t see a way to turn it off. Is there one I am missing? Thanks.
Go to your preferences, notifications, and set the various tracking, etc., notifications to never. That should probably do it.
Yes, there is. I know, because it doesn’t email me.
Oh, you want to know how? Well, after some poking around, it looks like here’s how you find it (at least if you’re on a PC):
- Click your avatar (the green Q, for you) at the upper right of the screen.
- Click Preferences (the little person-head icon).
- Click the word Preferences
- Click Emails on the menu on the left.
Select the options you want, and click Save Changes.
I’m impressed you put up with this for this long. It was the first thing I came and hunted around to find how to change.
It was nice to be alerted to the new board, but that’s all I needed. I don’t even need emails for threads I start, since replies show up in the notifications.
