Is there a way to turn iPod Touch Calendar entries to a text file?

I have a few hundred Calendar entries on my iPod Touch 4th gen that I’d like to convert into one text file to access on my PC. Retyping is a last-ditch option but there are so many of them if there’s a fairly easy way to convert to text it would save me so much time. It never hurts to ask, right?

As a last resort you could do the two button thing and send the screenshots to your computer. They’d be saved, but you wouldn’t be able to manipulate them, of course.

Yikes, I think taking screenshots and them knitting them together for one list is doable, but might take more time than just re-typing.

One way to cut down on a bit of typing would be a number generator. If I could automatically generate numbers like this:

and so on (there will be hundreds), then I could just type in the event after each number. It would shave off a bit of time. Not a lot, but every little bit helps.

I have Word 2007 and UltraEdit (and Notebook, but) on my desktop. Does anyone know if there’s a way to do that in either of those programs? I also have Excel 2007 but have hardly ever used it. It has numbers, but when I put a few in as a test, then copied and pasted into Notebook, the numbers didn’t show up.

I swear, this next year I’ll find a better way.

Is the iPod mated to your computer already? Does it sync your calendars? Alternatively there are many many iPod accessing programs out there that can pull the file(s) you need from the iPod.

The calendar files are just a text file, so if you do a number of find and replace you should be able to convert it into a comma delineated file which can be imported into Excel and then into whatever format you wish. Even more simply, the .ics file (I am 99% sure that is the file format of the calendar on the iPod) can be imported into just about any calendar program (Outlook, Google Calendar).

A simple google brings up this Apple threadwith a whole range of other ideas.
