Is there a word for that black sun chip found in every bag?

Or how about that one green potato chip you always skip?
Anyone?

flup till ya puke

black chip=Crispy-critter
Green chip=Mother of all that is good and Pure, what the Hell is that?

Black Sun Chip = the word is “burnt”

Green potato chip = IIRC, that just means that the potato was sticking out of the ground a bit and just got a little extra chlorophyll (sp?) because of exposure to the elements. I’m almost positive I read that in “Imponderables” or one of the series. I’m at work right now, but I can look it up later or tomorrow to confirm if someone doesn’t get a definate answer by then.

Cecil did a column about it; should be in the archives. It’s in the second book as well.

Here’s a link to the column about the green potato chip:

By the way, anyone else besides me read the OP and remember the adult joke with the last line: “Tell you what, you don’t mention the black sheep, I won’t mention the white baby…”?

I call it “the green chip I always skip”.

According to this “sniglets” page, http://www.bertc.com/sniglets.htm the name of that mutant chip is “The Charp”.

Yes. It prefers to be called African American.
