Maybe it’s because his fortune is based on pure luck. If I were on that idiotic show of his, someone would have to hold me back to stop me from kicking him in the nuts.
Agreed.
I was watching **The Benefactor ** last night. It was background noise while I was cooking dinner, but sheesh, what a worthless person to suck up to. His “insights” seem ripped off from a Successories store. On top of that, everything he says and does seems so rehearsed to make sure to keep a glowing halo floating over his head.
He is a bit of a dip, but I will say one thing positive about him: he is the most dedicated owner in sports.
I cheer for the rival Rockets, and think Les Alexander is a fine owner, but Cuban wouldn’t be a bad guy to own your favorite sports team.
It’s kind of odd. The guy is a young billionaire who ain’t half bad looking. He has such eligible bachelor media spotlight potential, but I guess he’s just too much of a geek. The press should pay for charm school just for the rewards they could reap afterward.
While there was certainly an element of “right place, right time” to accumulating his fortune, I dispute that is was the result of pure luck. The guy sold his first company and pocketed over $1M before anyone had ever heard of Yahoo.
Pash
I agree that he’s a dip…but I wonder if he’s not really about finding “the best millionaire” material, he just likes fucking with people. And really, who doesn’t dream of being a billionaire and fucking with people on national TV?
I think there’s a lot more to his success than dumb luck. I think he has a natural talent for making money. He sold his first company to CompuServer for millions and then sold his second company, broadcast.com to Yahoo for several billion dollars. Heck, even when he sold newspapers (from a neighboring town because his newspaper was on strike) or when he sold trash bags (door-to-door), he was taking advantage of wants/needs and making money off them.
I think being married kinda rules our the eligible bachelor title. I know he has at least one child, but they may have more than one.
Didn’t know that.
Re business: What Cuban lacks in slickness, he makes up in instinct and impetuousness.
